Over the last century, Sixth Form Colleges, Tutorial Centres and Further Education Colleges have been established throughout the world as a support and sometimes even an alternative to the traditional educational environment of a school.
Athens is the historical capital of Europe, with a long history, dating from the first settlement in the Neolithic age. In the 5th Century BC (the “Golden Age of Pericles”) – the culmination of Athens’ long, fascinating history – the city’s values and civilization acquired a universal significance. Over the years, a multitude of conquerors occupied Athens, and erected unique, splendid monuments - a rare historical palimpsest. In 1834, it became the capital of the modern Greek state and in two centuries since it has become an attractive modern metropolis with unrivalled charm. A large part of the town’s historic centre has been converted into a 3-kilometre pedestrian zone (the largest in Europe), leading to the major archaeological sites (“archaeological park”), reconstructing – to a large degree – the ancient landscape.
Athenians are well known for their friendliness, hospitality and in general for enjoying life. Athens has a fine range of eateries ranging from down-to-earth traditional taverns to upmarket restaurants serving fusion cuisine. Actually you can find virtually everything - from the local souvlaki & gyro & the traditional Mediterranean diet to Japanese or Thai cuisine and from street vendors to 19 restaurants awarded Michelin stars. Today ethnic cuisines are hotter than ever in Athens, including all European, African, Tex-Mex, Chinese, Brazilian, Persian, Argentinian and many more.
A full time English language programme at different levels to suit all individual abilities. Its aim is to prepare international students to continue towards UK qualifications.
Our International University Access Programme is designed to prepare students towards Levels 4/5/6 qualifications. Pathways in Business, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Law and more prepare you in the best possible way towards a Bachelor's degree.
A two-year full-time programme, which is considered the ‘’Gold Standard’’ for entry to top UK universities, including Cambridge & Oxford, as well as for entry to very competitive courses such as Medical School.
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) & Higher National Diploma (HND) courses are vocational studies designed to teach practical skills as well as theory for specific areas of work. They are normally taken after A-levels or the International UAP and their aim is to allow smooth progress towards a Bachelor Degree as well as to give students the skills required in order to put their knowledge effectively to use in a particular job.
They are one year courses, so at the end of each year students receive an internationally recognised qualification, which allows them either to continue towards a degree or to move straight into the workforce.
Following this scheme of studies, students are eligible to receive three different qualifications and are considered well more advanced practically than their fellow students following a three-year Bachelor programme.
